New Twist as murdered Dancer's Sheila Odoyo Estranged Husband Claims Right to Burial

The murder investigation of popular Ohangla dancer Sheila Akeyo Odoyo, known as "Wegesha," has taken a shocking turn. Sergeant Samwel Odoyo, a police officer, has come forward claiming to be Sheila's estranged husband of 17 years. He alleges the pair had planned to reunite just days before her gruesome death. 

Sheila's mutilated body was found on May 10th in her home in Athi River, where she lived with businessman Jackson Bambo, who has since gone into hiding. The 38-year-old was reportedly in a troubled marriage with the 45-year-old Bambo involving claims of infidelity.

In an exclusive interview, Sgt. Odoyo revealed he and Sheila had been separated since 2017 but remained in contact over their three children. He claims Sheila intended to leave Bambo and restart their marriage.

"She hinted she was searching for a house to leave Jackson," Odoyo stated. "Her proposal gave me hope we would restart our marriage."

Their last phone call was just two days before her body was discovered by their daughter Linda with deep cuts to the throat. Odoyo is asserting his cultural right, supported by Sheila's family, to conduct her burial rites as her legal spouse.

The extraordinary twist has added a new layer of complexity to the murder investigation as police continue the manhunt for the prime suspect, Jackson Bambo.
