Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that everyone plays a crucial role in the fight against climate change. During the launch of the Parliamentary Conservation and Climate Change Caucus in Nairobi, 

Gachagua emphasized the need for collective engagement to address climate change and expressed concern over its impact on the nation's stability and growth. He welcomed the initiative and assured that lawmakers would advocate for increased allocation of funds for environmental conservation. 

Gachagua also highlighted the government's commitment to collaborate with legislators in developing legislation to strengthen climate change response. He encouraged lawmakers to collaborate with schools and educational institutions within their constituencies to promote sustainable environmental conservation activities. 

Earlier, on April 8, Gachagua urged Kenyans to conserve the environment and support President William Ruto's goal of planting 15 billion trees by 2032 as a means of mitigating the effects of climate change.
